Gina, Cindy, and I walked to the salon. From what we could tell the salon was in walking distance. Not. We walked for what seemed forever. The crowning moment was when we crossed Gervais Street (pronounced jer-vay) jaywalking in front of a police officer, across a very busy street, risking our lives.
However, everyone got their nails and toenails done. Emily and Katherine were quite entertaining. At one point, the nail technician said "you've got your hands full" She was talking about Emily. Oh man. She's right, Emily is precocious and smart. Katherine is responsible and literal. Both are awesome, awesome kids. But they are just so different!
Emily had sparkly purple nails and toenails. Catherine had sparkly blue nails and toenails. I went for basic pink on the toes and clear on the nails. Not too exciting for me, however, I didn't want to take away from the bride, or for that matter the flower girls. They seem to be the stars of the show. At least for that moment.
After that, was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. I will write on the next blog about that. But for now, I have some very cute photos.
