Our friends and neighbors, Melinda and Jim, are expecting a baby in October. So this weekend we attended the "gender party". Basically, when they had the gender sonogram and had the technician immediately put the results in an envelope. The envelope was taken to a baker. The baker made a very cool cake that looked like a present. Inside was either pink or blue cake. We all gathered around as they cut the cake. Of course, I was very excited to see pink cake! Baby Aubrey is on her way!
I had never heard of such a party but it really was the coolest thing ever!
