Report on our weekend...

From all accounts, it seems the beachhouse is okay. We don't know if any windows were broken, but the pool, fence and the roof seem to be intact. The beach house is the 2nd home on the straightline of houses on the left. (you can see the pool).

Interestingly enough, my students have been fascinated by the hurricane. We have learned how hurricanes work, studied weather patterns. We used Ike to study the regions of the US and citizenship too.

Anyway, in addition to all of this, Katherine had pink eye this weekend. We managed to get eyedrops on Saturday night but I still kept her home today. No point in putting the other children at risk.

She is all well and has been a very brave girl while we put in her eyedops into her eyes. That can be scary for a little one!!

Also, on our new house, because this is has been such a nutso week, I have no information. Nice, huh?
