St. Somewhere Family vacation....

What a weekend! Frank, Katherine and I spent a 4 day weekend with Sheryl and Jay Wright plus their 3 kids. We have had so much fun! Exhausting….but fun.

Thursday, once everyone got to the beach house, Sheryl and I headed to WalMart...of course. Later to be defined as only the 1st trip of 3 to White Trash, USA. Jay and Frank took all 4 kids to walk the beach. The 3 Wright children had never seen a beach! Katherine still loves the water. It was a big hit for all involved.

Friday morning, with all of the kids up and anxious to get going, we sat outside and let them draw with sidewalk chalk. The driveway is now covered in beautiful artwork. After that, we successfully got them as tired as possible by getting them into the pool to swim. Right after lunch, we napped allllll afternoon! Yea Us! Then we took them back to the beach yesterday afternoon. The kids dug in the sand and buried Frank in the sand. They also jumped in the waves. Katherine just loves sitting in the tide and letting the water run up on her. Every time the water ran up on her, she would say, “ohhhh” or “ahhh”. Very cute!

After the kids went to bed, we played Catch Phrase. Let’s just say by the end of the games, somehow, the word “windcircle” made some sense….

Today, the kids went back to the beach with the Jay and Frank while Sheryl and I did laundry. We aren’t real sure when we got to the stage in our lives where we chose laundry over the beach. We believe it is a sign of maturity…but in fact, Jay and Frank have told us we are lame and old. Great.

Regardless of that…we are having a GREAT time!!!!
