Speaking of Cowgirls....

Katherine is staying with Mimi and Poppa this week.

So, I asked Dad to email me pictures and a synopsis of what they were doing every day so I could blog it for all to read.

Here's a little background information... Mom wanted to have a theme for Katherine's visit (an idea she borrowed from a friend)This is "farm week" for Katherine. Mom and Dad got her some farm books, a John Deer tractor that she pushes around and can ride on. She also has the Fisher Price barnyard.

Since Katherine is so good at her animal sounds, this is awesome! She can give the sounds for a cow, pig, monkey, lion, cat, dog and bear. (I realize that monkeys aren't on farms, lions for that matter either...but it is too cute when she does it.

So, below is Dad's email and some REALLY adorable photos. (not that I am bias)

As Mom said we just got back from the Burks house. Katherine enjoyed the horses. She wasn't afraid most of the time. Only when the big horse snorted did she get a bit spooked. She fed them carrots while Mimi held her.

Then she sat up on John's big John Deere tractor. I put her in the seat and she didn't flinch. She seemed to like sitting there and playing with the steering wheel. She then got down, climbed up on the Gator and sat in that seat a while.

In between she laughed at and patted the cats. She played in the gravel that covers the patio area while we visited and watched her. Then we came home. All in all it was a fun outing.
