Today, Katherine is 4 years old.
4 years ago, I gave birth to a beautiful, dark-haired, blue-eyed baby. Now, we have a beautiful, blonde, hazel-eyed preschooler. Frank and I had no idea that we were in for such an adventure.
Katherine, you are a bright and wonderful little girl. You love Disney princess, swimming, dressing up, dancing and singing. I suppose that might sound like a typical 4 year old preschooler. You, my sweet, are anything but typical. Always full of surprises, you keep us laughing with your silly jokes and quirky sense of humor.
And oh you are so smart! You know your alphabet, numbers, and all kinds of songs. You can even write some letters already.
My favorite though....is watching you as a big sister. When Emily is upset, you sing to her and help rock her. Never are you jealous of the attention that goes to Emily. In fact, you are a proud big sister.
Happy Birthday, my darling. Mommy and Daddy love you so very much!
