The last couple of days have been full of swimming and relaxing!
On Tuesday, we went out to lunch at Shrimp n Stuff. Oh yum! Katherine was very well behaved although I kept having to make her stop eating her salad so she would eat her chicken. I'm the only mom I know that forces her child to stop eating vegetables. I realize that it has more to do with the ranch dressing but she really does love salad and veggies. Anyway, then we walked around on The Strand. We weren't out for too long...just enough to tire Katherine and Emily out.
Dad went fishing yesterday. He caught a shark! Isn't that cool? This is where I add my editor's note. Gina, Jeff and Frank are always trying to convince me that scuba diving is the best ever. Dad was standing on the beach, cast out his lure and caught a shark.....that means that shark was too close for me.
We also went to the movies. Mom and I saw Julie & Julia. It is hilarious. We took Emily in with us. Except for Emily's very large belch in the quietest part of movie, she was great! Dad took Katherine to see the 3-D version of G-Force. It is about animated guinea pigs. Dad was less than impressed but Katherine loved it. Inspired by our movie, Mom outdid herself on dinner. She made roast beef, red potatoes and blackeyed peas. Our dinner was peppered with Julia Child references such as Bon Appetit and TaDa!...of course, in the Julia Child voice. I think Dad was a little worn out with it in the end but he kept laughing at us.
Today, we are going to WalMart! Woo Hoo!
Frank will be here tonight as he gets off at noon. I know he is anxious to be here with his girls. We are anxious to have him here too. Mom and Dad are going to keep the girls while we go on a date to Landry's. I can't wait!
