Road Warrior

I left on Saturday morning at 6:27 am for Kathy's house.  She and I hosted a baby shower for Leslie. (Leslie is Kathy's office receptionist).  It was really a very nice shower even if I was very, very off task all day.  I don't know what was wrong with me!

That night, Kathy and I had seafood fettucini (one of my favorites!!).  We also watched Sex in the City 2.  The movie really has no social redeeming value but we thought it was awesome.  "Take a sip.."...that one is for Kathy.

Early Sunday morning, I woke up and headed out to Mexia.  The choir at FUMC Mexia was performing their Easter Cantata which my dad was directing.  I left at 8:13, stopped for gas and was feeling pretty good about myself.  Then I realized I didn't have my cell phone.  dang.  I turned around and was back on the road at 8:40.

The Cantata was amazing...very inspirational and extremely well done.  Afterwards, I let Dad by me lunch because I am such a generous daughter. hehe.

On the way home, Dad and I talked almost the entire way.  We discovered some back ways that made the trip faster from Mexia to Granbury as well as easier on the driver.  I was so excited you would have thought I had discovered the cure for brain craziness!

All in all, even though I drove a WHOLE lot, it was all completely worth it!
