Based on my previous post, you know that this past weekend, our family had a booth at the Mistletoe and Magic Craft fair in Mexia. Our booth did really well this year....we made almost $1800 on inventory alone. This is cool because in years past, we made the same on inventory plus large donations.
On Friday, Katherine, Emily and I arrived by 10 am. Emily spent most of her day at the preschool. She had a great day! Katherine hung out with me, Papa and Mimi. I was so proud because Katherine was so well behaved....just an absolute gem the whole day! I left with the girls for the house around 5ish and Mom followed after a quick trip to the HEB and to get a box of fried chicken. Funny moment...Mom called to say the wine and chicken express was headed home! We were so tired from a full day of selling that it was really, really funny at the time.
We started Saturday by attending the Pancakes with Santa event at the church. Katherine, although a bit reluctant, sat in Santa's lap and smiled. Emily screamed and cried like I had pulled her hair and slapped her face all at the same time. It was pitiful and cute all at the same time. From there we headed back to the Civic Center to our booth. The girls held on til 11 and then Mom took them home for nap. They were back by 2:45 and were super well behaved to till when we left at 5:30. Pretty awesome!
The whole family is convinced that both Katherine and Emily presence boost our sales.
The girls and I were home in Granbury by mid afternoon on Sunday.
It was a wonderful weekend! Good times, good times....
