So before anyone thinks I am just wallowing in my sippy cup sorrow.....
Thanksgiving Day was awesome!
We woke up Thursday morning, ready to go. Dad and Kathy cleaned out Kathy's office desk. Frank and Daddy transported 2 ton Tina (um, I mean the desk) to the garage. Now the office is prepped to become a wonderful play room for the girls. Cool! After that, we went all went into uber prep dinner mode.
Around 1:30, Aunt Sherry and Uncle Frank C arrived shortly followed by Frank C's daughter & co. Laura and Pete have a son, Gavin, who is 2 months younger than Emily. The two were so cute "playing" together.
We served dinner around 2:30 and stuffed ourselves into trip-ta-fan (sp?) wonderfulness.
Once of the nice moments we had was before dinner, we all stood in a circle and acknowledged the fact that each of us had someone we cared for not with us for Thanksgiving....whether because they were in another town or passed on. It was really nice......
After watching the Cowboys loose *sigh*, we cleaned up best we could and went to bed.
It was an absolute wonderful day. It was so nice to be around family and share such an amazing meal.
Side note.....Katherine, Emily and Gavin were super perfect kids the entire day. WooHoo!
