Family Reunion

On Friday, Frank and I loaded the girls into the Explorer and headed to Lake Callender in Murchison, Texas. We had a purpose....Aunt Sue and Uncle Mike's lakehouse is there. They were hosting our 2010 family reunion. We also decided to celebrate Emily's 1st birthday as well (a week early). It took us a while to get because of traffic and Emily screamed almost the whole way. Luckily, that was the only bad thing that happened. We had a great weekend!!



The girls stayed at the lakehouse with everyone. Frank and I stayed in the camper trailer 4 blocks away and later shared that with Chris and Bethany. Saturday was a day of playing in the lake, on the boat and riding the jet skis. Katherine rode with Papa on the jet ski. She spent the whole time yelling, "Whoo Hoo! Ride'em Cowboy! More! More!". We decided she was having fun.



Around 4, we decided to open Emily's gifts. Oh she got so many cute things! Everyone was so generous. Of course, the feature moment was the cake. The cake and icing was everywhere on her from head to toes. It was so much fun to celebrate Emily's 1st year with our family. The reunion was filled with lots of laughter. Our youngest attending was 1 and oldest was 85.

We talked about our favorite moments on the way home. Mine was watching fireworks on the boat. Frank said his was playing in the water with Katherine. Katherine's was riding the tube with Aunt Bethany....

It was a blessing to spend time with my aunt, uncle, cousins, parents and Grandmother. Thank you Aunt Sue and Uncle Mike for opening your home up to us!!!!!
