We had a wonderful Easter! This morning started very early with a visit from the Easter Bunny. The bunny had made a candy and pink grass trail from Katherine's room to her Easter basket. Katherine, of course, popped right out of bed when I told her the bunny brought a present. I wish that enthusiasm would go over to Monday morning!
After we all looked through the Easter Bunny's presents (candy and a Scooby Doo Movie) I left Kathy, Frank and Katherine eating breakfast.
Now...Mimi.....don't take this one personally, but I heard there was a complete meltdown putting on the Easter Dress. Katherine loves to play and hates to stop....getting dressed meant stopping. So arriving at the early service was a less than thrilled Katherine and a happy Frank and Kathy. Once Katherine realized that an Easter egg hunt was in her future, she was all smiles!
If you fast forward through 2 lovely services, you arrive at our home for Easter lunch. Gina, Jeff and Matt arrived with a bottle of wine, a yummy pie and Sun Deviled Eggs (spicy devil eggs) and lovely smiles. All of our food was great....ham, green beans, cheesy potatoes and Aunt Ruby's cranberry salad.
I am truly the luckiest hostess! While I was still at the 2nd church service (handbelling), Kathy and Frank got lunch ready to go, set the table and had everything done when I got home! They are rockstars! Thanks guys!
We truly have had a lovely weekend. Good family, good food and good fun!
