Birthday Party Extravaganza!

We had quite a fun weekend! On Friday night, was just a relaxing evening.

Saturday, we attended 2 birthday parties. The first party was just across the street. (easy commute!) Katherine was really excited about it until we walked in and everybody stared at her. Then she kind of freaked out. In her defense, we came in through the garage and opened a door that the game poster was on. So EVERYONE was looking straight at us and made a big deal about us opening the door. She was able to relax long enough to have her pizza and cake. Her friend, Caitlyn, recieved lots of neat gifts.

Next, we were off to Keller for Kali's party. This party had a pink tailed, purple glittered pony. Katherine rode on the pony twice. Then we had more cake. Can you say sugar high?

Now I have to say that in between the parties, was about an hour + drive. We also had to stop at Wal-Mart. Katherine was supposed to sleep during that time. She, of course, did not.

So, on the way home.... at 6:15..... she crashed.

Upon our arrival home, we laid her down in her bed, tucked her in and said good-night. I thought we were home-free. WRONG. At 9:30, she woke up. I finally got her down at 11:30 last night. Frank fell asleep before 8, so it was just strange all around

So today, after church, we headed over to Gina and Jeff's house to celebrate Matt's 18th birthday. I can't believe he is 18 but that is a whole 'nother post. The party was fun, Katherine played hard.

Our goal when we left at 6, was to keep Katherine awake. Well, mission failed. So we woke her up when we got home, gave her a bath. 2 episodes of Scooby Doo and she is in bed. Thank goodness we seemed to have "escaped" another Saturday slip up!

That's all for now....
