Well, this week has been a good one. On Monday, as a part of her birthday present, Mom and I went to the Grand Spa. We were massaged, pedicured, manicured , and otherwise totally pampered. It was wonderful! I highly recommend the Grand Spa and I also highly recommend giving it as a gift. Mom and I had a fantastic time just "being".
Dad took care of Katherine while we spa'd. They went to McDonald's and Target. Lucky Papa...Katherine fell asleep in the car and he got her down for nap with no problem!
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Katherine and I spent in Granbury. While I was at my 3 day district workshop, Katherine got to go to "school.". Granbury ISD offers a free 3 day camp for teachers kids. She had her new Disney Princess lunch box which she held on to from the moment she got it. She even slept with it, waking up asking if she would get to go to school.
Her first day, Katherine arrived in a yellow bumblebee dress and pigtails and, of course, the lunchbox. I can't tell you how cute she looked! (Should I mention that when I left from dropping her off, I got teary?) They spent the whole day playing games and coloring. Her teachers gave her high praises when I picked her up.
The next day, I woke her up and said, "Time to go to school!". Katherine yawned and said, "No thanks, I'll just stay here and watch TV." She is such a polite little decliner! I explained that she still had to go to school and she quickly obliged.
Thursday was a great day too. All 3 nights, we got very little argument out of her to go to bed. School is hard stuff! We were both happy to come back to Daddy though on Thursday night.
Today, we all headed out to Granbury to see the progress on the house....we have cabinets! Yea!
Here are some photos.
