Tradition! Tradition!

We put up our Christmas tree tonight. Katherine was very excited about the whole thing. She mostly wanted to play with the ornaments.

I made a soup recipe tonight passed on from my mom. It is really good and very easy. This is especially important when negotiating a 2 year old and ornaments. (although, Frank puts the ornaments on for the most part.) It is also nice since it is cold here. 37 degrees! Now, I know that is spring like for my Wisconsin friends but in Texas that is friggin' cold!

OK, here is the recipe.
Potato Soup
5 medium potatoes 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
2 small onions 1 stick butter(I use margerine)
4 large carrots Eckrich sausage(One pkg. with two links)
2 cans mushroom soup

Cook onion and carrots in butter in soup pot till tender. Add cut potatoes and cover with 1 inch of water over. Cook till done (about 30 min). Salt and pepper to taste. Add mushroom soup. Add Eckrich sausage and cheese last. Simmer a bit. Serve hot.

Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits
2 Cups Bisquick 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 cup shredded cheese 1/2 c. melted butter
2/3 cup mile
Heat oven to 450. Mix bisquit mix, milk, and cheese until soft doughs form. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Mix garlic powder and butter. Brush mixture over warm biscuits before removing from baking sheet. Makes 12 servings. YUM!!!!

I saved this part for last because I wanted you to see the recipe. :)
