FINALLY!

Well, my friends, it's been a long time. I must confess I have been overwhelmed by work and family life this past month.

I have noted to myself that something funny that happened would be fun to put on the blog. However, the thought of having to back track and update was a little much for me. I just kept putting it off.

So, I made an executive decision. I am just going to start from today. It'll get me back in the "groove". The past month has been filled with a stomach virus and work. There. November done.

Starting anew.....

Yesterday, Katherine and I went to the mall to do a little shopping. We bought her Christmas dress. It is just precious.

Katherine was pretty good at the mall. She was well behaved and happy to be there.

The only melt down came when we tried to visit Santa. Last year, she cried with Santa. So, I thought I would try a trial run with the man in red. The line was short so the wait wouldn't be long.

She was fine until we actually got to the front of the line to see Santa. As we approached, Katherine clung to me like glue. She would not even LOOK at Santa. Bless her heart, she was really scared. He was very patient with her and encouraging so I decided to let her sit in his lap. I started lowering her into his lap and she clung onto my shirt so much that she pulled it down....a lot. Santa got quite the show from me.

Talk about cheeks like roses .... EMBARRASSING! I did not need Santa to see that much of me.

Frank and I went back to the mall today. I couldn't even walk in front of Santa....didn't want to take a chance. Now, I don't know if I am on the nice or naughty list. Ha!

At any rate, we started a fire tonight. Katherine runs in front of it and says, "hot!" and then runs away and says, "brr, cold!". This was repeated about 15 times. Funny everytime to us.

OK, I hope everyone is happy with my decision to just start from today. Its been fun to blog again! I am going to try to get a little video of her on the phone. She is very cute when she talks on the phone.
