We went to Granbury and visited with Gina and Jeff. We attended the Granbury parade, bought silly hats, ate "fair" food all before 1 p.m. It only started to rain at the end so that made it nice.
Once we got home, Katherine took a nice nap. I am so glad she can now nap on a regular bed. She is just so sweet when she sleeps. Once she woke up, we decided to get on Gina and Jeff's boat. So we got all decked out in our bathing suits, complete with Katherine's new life jacket and headed over to "sandy" beach. It is a shallow part of the lake where the bottom is you guessed it, sandy. It was waist to chest level for Katherine. She had so much fun playing, splashing and swimming.
Then we went home for dinner. We had smoked chicken, ribs, brisket, turkey, sausage, corn and potatoes. It was soooo good! Dessert was homemade icecream. It was REALLY good. Then we decided to back on the boat to go watch the fireworks which were very pretty. Granbury always has a nice show. The minute they were done, Katherine crawled up in my lap and immediately fell asleep.
We got home really late but it was worth it. We had a fun time!
