Chocolate and flys.

Tonight, Frank and I went to PF Chang's for a Date Night. Katherine went home with my dad today so that I can work tomorrow.... so it was perfect for us!

We both had a fantastic meal and shared a dessert called The Lucky Eight. It was chocolate creme brulle cream folled in a long tortilla type pastry. They serve it with hot toffee, carmel and peanut butter dipping sauce. I am in love. If it was socially appropriate to lick the plate, I would have. I did use my fingers to get any extra sauce that was left on the plate even though probably that is questionable manners in said appropriateness. Total Yumminess occurred.

We came home to a nice quiet evening of watching the Master's and packing for Easter weekend.... until we were attacked. Attacked, I say, by a GIANT horsefly. This was the largest horsefly I had ever seen. Our first encounter sent Frank into an army tuck and roll. So, our solution...or rather, Frank's solution was to get a dish rag and madly wave it at this creature.

Now, during this time, I'm on the phone with Kathy. We are having a nice little conversation when Frank comes running into the living room waving his dish rag and claiming that the fly is now dive bombing him. I keep talking to Kathy and dodging Frank and his "fly trap". Cowboy has joined in at this point and is barking at the fly. Effective teamwork, I think.

I hang up the phone and decide it is time to up the anty. Frank and I chase (with the dish rag) Atilla the Hun Fly into the bathroom. We trap it. I grab a hand towel. Frank and I both commence waving our "weapons" at this obviously deadly animal. I finally hit the it with a good swat... wounding it enough to slow it down. Frank yells, "You've wounded it! You've wounded it!" The fly then gets up enough energy to dive bomb Frank one last time ( I guess for ole' time sake)...hits the mirror, falls and dies.

We are victorious! Who needs a fly swatter or bug spray.... we had towels! We high five.

And that was our date night. Great dinner, super great dessert and fly killing. cool.
