Snow Day!

It's a snow day! Well, in Texas it is more like "We can't drive in freezing weather Day" But I am home because Texas Wesleyan is closed! Yea!

Big news day though, our weatherman is showing all watching how to scrape ice off a car window. wow. Not as exciting as yesterday.

Last night, Frank's work buddy, Daryl, was at our house for a sleep over. He lives in Grand Prairie and it is a lot further from their office than our house. Anyhoo, the guys decide we all need to go to WalMart so they can have items to contribute to the office food drive. Apparently, it is a big competition so each item counts towards the big prize. Frank and Daryl bought 6 12-packs of Ramen noodles and a dozen canned goods. So that will credit for about 85 items. I hope the team wins because it was embarrassing to buy all that Ramen. Not because it made us look poor, it just looked wierd. Especially since we were buying all the canned goods, diapers, wine, beer and lightbulbs. It looked like Katherine had 2 Daddies and I was just the tag along. Color me cool.

So the other part of the trip was to find Daryl some shoes. In his haste to get to our house, he forgot the extra bag that had toothbrush, toothbrush, ect and his shoes. So we look all over WalMart for shoes. Apparently, WalMart doesn't sell cheap shoes anymore nor do they sell anything other than black or brown orthopediac shoes. So then the guys decide to go to Kohls to get Daryl some jeans and shoes. They found the jeans but no shoes. (Again, I think they might have looked pretty close to "My 2 Dads") They gave up and came home.

Turns out, Daryl and Frank were the same shoes size. Daryl just borrowed some of Frank's dress shoes. Genius. These 2 guys have Business Degrees from prestigous universities. But it didn't occur to them that they might have the same shoe size. Something, mind you, I had mentioned earlier but was blown off. Sigh.

We had a nice evening though.

Now Katherine is taking a nap and I'll think I might do the same. I love snow/ice/sleet days.
