Happy Thanksgiving!

Wednesday at work was not as bad as I thought it would be. Katherine was very good and everyone enjoyed having her around. (at least that is what they said.) We left my office at 1:00 p.m. and at 1:00 p.m. and 15 seconds, Katherine was asleep. Awesome, I think!

We got to Grandma Kathy's all by 4:00 p.m. Kathy and I went to the grocery store (4th day in a row for Kathy). Katherine was asleep for the night by 6:15. Even more awesome! After a nice pasta dinner, we were all in bed and asleep by 9:00 pm. We weren't tired at all.......

Thursday was a very relaxing day. Since our big traditional meal was to be on Saturday, the 3 of us decided that ribs and fixins' were a great idea on Thursday. Frank made what I would categorize as the best smoked ribs he has EVER made. The meat just fell off the bone. Yum.

On Friday, Frank had to go to work. Bummer for him. BUT Kathy arranged for a babysitter for Katherine and she and I went out for a baby free afternoon. After a great meal at Chips (where all the Highland Park kids eat), we got pedi/manis complete with extra shoulder massages. By the way, we got to watch the Aggies beat the Longhorns. I kept singing that song, "Heaven...I'm in Heaven..." That night, Frank and I went to Stars game while Kathy kept Katherine. Perfect end to a perfect day!

Today we are fixing the traditional Thanksgiving meal. The casseroles are ready to go in and the turkey is cooking! Family is on the way!

Should be fun....and should taste awesome!
