I'm sure you all read before that I got this great promotion! Yea! I'm excited about it!
Here's the deal though. This week, I've been at college fairs every night. This means I get home sometime between 8:45 and 9:30pm. Frank has been taking care of Katherine every night by himself.
Now I realize, that it isn't a miracle that my husband can take care of our child...but....it just says a lot about what an awesome guy he is. I'm truly very blessed.
OK, so here is the other really cool thing. I ran into Andrew Hughes tonight at the Grand Prairie ISD College Fair. OK, those who understand raise their hands. Anyone?
So obviously this story takes some background information. I grew up down the block from the Hughes family. Mr. and Mrs. Hughes, Peter, Andrew and Sarah. Peter hung out with Michael, Andrew with me and Sarah....well, Sarah was younger than me, so she had other friends. Anyway, I was good friends with Andrew. Then, when we were in 6th grade, they moved away.
So....fast forward, fast forward.
I'm walking to the hospitality room to eat my complimentary sandwich and cookie. I look up and I'm nose to chest with Andrew. (Andrew is really tall....) Andrew works for University of Houston now under the direction of my very good friend, Jeff Fuller.
How CRAZY is that? We set up our tables next to each other and visited all night! It was great~it wasn't as if we picked up were we left off. (we were 13). But we did pick up just like old friends.
The whole thing was a win/win because the fair wasn't that great for either of us as far as interested students. They are very fond of of UNT though. yea.
Anway, I'm glad to have found an old~new friend!
WaaHoo!
