Since Mom & Dad have Katherine now (after our weekend visitation), Frank and I decided to go on Date Night. The Gourmet Pizza place down the street has Date Night on Monday nights. Gianni's serves an appetizer, a pizza, a dessert and 2 glasses of wine for $20. Pretty sweet deal, I say.
The staff was very friendly. It's a family owned business. We had tomatoes and mozzerela soaked in balsamic vingerette. It was very tasty. Then they brought a medium, thin crust pizza . It had sausage, pepperoni, and canadian bacon. I thought it was really good. The cabernet was nice too. It was all topped off by Sticky Stciks, basically sweet sticky buns but with pizaza dough.
I liked all of it! 3 1/2 stars! (the place did smell a bit odd so I knocked off a few points)
Frank said that you could buy a bottle of wine and a $5 Little Caesar pizza and get a more satisfying meal. I told him that coming from a man who values Miller High Life, the Champagne of Beers, his review was low on my list. He did try to salvage some dignity by saying that the pleasure of my company made it worth it. Whatever, dude.
ANYWAY, Gianni's was good. The atmosphere was nice. The company was great! Fun night!
We came home after doing some grocery shopping and watched Hell's Kitchen. That show rocks! I love Chef Ramsey. And I am glad Keith is gone. He was a punk.
