Katherine and I are staying with my parents for the weekend. Frank has gone to Austin to his sister's "hair" party. Remember? Lisa is having brain surgery on Tuesday and she needs to shave her head. So....Lisa is having a party to shave her head. To some, this may seem odd. But for Lisa, it is right on target! That is why we love Lisa.
Darla is on vacation for the next 2 weeks. (have a blast in Galveston!!!). My parents are keeping Katherine until Friday. That's why she is in Mexia. I'm here this weekend because I have strep throat and an ear infection. I haven't had strep or an ear infection since I was in junior high. JUNIOR HIGH! It probably has something to do with the massive amount of students who come through my office everyday.
Anyway....my avid readers probably really don't care about my strep throat. I have a point. I really do.
My parents have a 2 story house. Now, I told them they would need a baby gate because Katherine would figure out how to get up those stairs. Did they believe me??? NOOOOO. Guess what? We weren't here 2 hours and she figured out how to crawl up those stairs. This morning, she was half way up them before we figured out where she was. So, Daddy put a box in front of the stairs. My little genius moved the box and started up those stairs again.
Point of the story?
We are going to Wal Mart when she gets up from her nap to buy a baby gate. Mommy is victorious!!!
