Mother's Day Weekend

So on Friday.....Frank took Katherine and they headed down to Austin to see Ruth (aka Nana). Nana and Grandma were sooooo excited to have Katherine for a visit. They were thrilled from the minute we called with the idea. (I did point out to Ruth that she didn't seem to appear appropriately sad that I wouldn't be also coming down ;) )

Anyway, I digress. On Saturday, Nana, Grandma, Frank had a grand ole' time doing much of nothing but playing with the baby. Apparently, a yummy lasagna dinner was served as well.

On Sunday, Nana, Frank and the baby met some out of town friends for lunch. I hear that these great friends read this blog regularly. (Hi Franklin! Hi Corrine!)

They went to the fanciest place to eat.....I mean!

Mother's Day brunch at....wait....you won't believe it.....hold on......they went to....Wataburger. Frank said that actually, it was a nice meal and kind of nice to not have to fight a crowd.

After a wonderful Mother's Day lunch, Frank and Katherine came home. I was so happy to see them!

So. What did I do, you ask? ANYTHING I WANTED! :) On Friday, I met some some friends at Flying Saucer for drinks. Sheryl and her cousin had to leave so that left me, Deborah and Toby. We decided to head out to Pete's Piano Bar where we danced, drank and sang the night away. We had soooo much fun! In fact, the next morning, I was re-living that fun, in the form of quite a headache.

On Saturday, after a taquito to get me going, Deborah and I went shopping. Fun for me because it was birthday money. Fun for Deborah because she was spending my money. Basically, I am completely void of any shopping sense. So, I take Deborah. She dresses me so well. We shopped til we dropped!

That night, I headed over to Randy and Elizabeth's house to celebrate Madeline's 1st Birthday. It was a fun party. Really good food too. Madeline kept us entertained with her many tricks which included stuffing cake and icing into her mouth. That was really funny to watch. I can't wait for Katherine to do the same.

On Sunday, I watched 2 Lifetime movies and Brokeback Mountain. Frank and Katherine got home around 4:00. I missed them so much! But....I had a fantastic ME weekend.
