Watauga Fest

Watauga Fest was really fun! Elizabeth, Randy & Madeline Bass met us at the house around 10 a.m. After we packed up the girls with strollers, baby bags, and an Easter basket, we headed out. It took 2 cars to get there and we drove a whole 3 minutes! Lucky for all of us, Watauga Fest was right up the road. It was set up somewhat like a mini-State Fair of Texas. (really mini). I'm sure you can be by the photo that the Madeline & Katherine were thrilled. ha!

They had some rides that looked like duct tape kept them together and vendors selling some pretty bizarre stuff. We did stop by a cool salsa stand though. Frank bought some set your face on fire salsa and Elizabeth bought the black bean salsa that she and I loved.

We headed over to the Easter Egg “hunt”. It was really more like a whole bunch of plastic eggs in a roped off area but that wasn’t what mattered! We ended up just handing both girls a plastic egg to play with for a bit. Both of them immediately put them up to their mouths. No big surprise there.


Then we took them over to meet the Easter Bunny. Both girls were absolute champs! No tears! Yea! (This means high hopes for good pictures with Santa this year)
