Ta-Da! First Food!

Ok, so we didn't try green beans. We tried pears mixed with cereal. Darla (who keeps Katherine) is very smart and told us that fruit mixed with cereal might be a better "starter" food than a jar of green beans. I totally agreed. So hear goes the evening.

First, because we aren't that organized, Frank had to put the high chair together. Eventually, he managed to get it together. A few choice words and some banging around is what, I think, did the trick. Katherine was completely starving at this point so that helped. We got her bibbed up , cereal with pears ready and stuck her in the high chair. Second thing that happened? We couldn't figure out how to strap her in. Apparently, you have to seatbelt your child into these things nowadays. (I know it will be beneficial later when she can stand) BUT, she did look cute all strapped in and really tiny in that great big chair.

Soooo, let the pears commence! She did a little shimmy and got a funny look on her face at the first bite. But after that, she was diggin' it! She seemed to really like it. We figured out she was either tired of it or full when she started eating the seatbelt strap. Thanks to Aunt Dixie's cool body bib, she didn't get it all over her clothes. But it was all over her face! Enjoy the show below....
