Michael

Today we went to Stroud's Creek Cemetary to set Michael's gravestone. In attendance was Mom, Dad, James, Linda, Frank, Katherine and, of course, me. It was interesting to see how they set a gravestone.

Stroud's Creek is a peaceful and wonderful place. You can turn 360 degrees and see blue sky. Michael is buried next to my grandfather. He rests now in a place of glory and beauty. There is no pain.

His marker is beautiful. It has his name and the dates of his life. There is also a cross and an Aggie Band symbol. At the bottom it states, "Loving Son, Brother and Husband." At the top between the symbols is a great picture of Michael. He looks so happy in the photo. James said a very sweet prayer and I sang Amazing Grace (with my mom's help). It was wonderful. Now I feel like it is all done. I can visit him and it is official.


I love my brother. I miss him.
