Arizona

Friday was the last day of school. At least for students. Teachers go back on tuesday although that is hardly relevant.

This has been a particulary crazy and long a school year. My two classes have been a challenge  My home room had some major sweethearts and some major behavior problems. I have to admit though some of those who had the behavior problems were sweethearts too! My other group was very very chatty but highly motivated. This meant lots of patience and lots of planning. I've learned a lot from both classes and I really am going to miss all of my students.

At any rate it is over. Yea!

So I left school at 1:30 pm and was leaving on my jet plane by 6:30. Where you ask? To Arizona. Gina's shower was this weekend and I had the honor on attending. After I got there and we hugged, squealed and hugged again, we went for pizza. We went to a cool place nearby called Humble Pie. It had fancy, schmancy pizzas and more importantly wine.

I don't know if you have noticed something missing from my story. That's right ..... The husband and kids. Mom and Dad have the girls until Wednesday. Frank has been in Austin at the Taber Family Reunion/Golf Tournament. They have it every year and Frank goes every year. I think our entire family needed a break from each other so this has been amazing!

Back to me though. Saturday morning Gina Jeff and I just kinda hung out. Jeff was smoking brisket and chicken for the BaByQ. He was was up at 4:00 am because he had to cook the replacement chicken. The night before around oh 11:30ish we discovered that the chickens preciously purchased at Walmart were rancid. Like nasty rancid. Like super, nasty rancid. Like super, super nasty....ok I think you get it.

So Gina and Jeff went back to Walmart to return the offending chickens. At some point the Walmart folks said they didn't take returns after 10:00 pm. But Jeff started to remove the chickens in question from the bag and Gina managed to march her pregnant self around making announcements about rancid chicken. So they, of course, received the return.

With a little sleep deprivation, a smile on our face and a lift in our hearts we headed to the shower at Aunt Shirley's house. It was SOOO much fun!  They got some amazing gifts and the food was spectacular. Between Shirley's food, specifically the mac n cheese, Cindy's sangria and Jeff's brisket and chicken, it was heaven!

Once we got home, Jeff, Gina and Peachy took a two hour nap. Afterwards, Cindy came over to have leftovers and watch Storage Wars. We quickly became addicted to this show.  Reality TV is stupid and wonderful all at the same time.

This morning, after a  lovely breakfast of eggs and bacon, we decided to go shopping. My suitcase was way to light and airy. It needed more stuff and lots of it.  So to Outlet Mall we went. After a ooh and hah round through the baby store we headed the Coach store.

I have never experienced the thrill of owning anything Coach. Well let me tell you, every girl should do it. By the time we left there we had roughly $1000 worth merchandise for $450. I know that sounds excessive but it was split between three of us.  When we  realized that if we if we spent a little more we would get $50 off for every $250 we spent, it was on! Everything we got was 50% off so it was like Christmas ... No ... Coachmas!  We were jumping up and down doing the seal clap/squeal o' happiness.

Anyway, I am the VERY proud owner of a beautiful Coach bag, wallet, key chain and lanyard. It is probably the nicest thing I've ever bought myself. Cindy and Gina were right though. You carry yourself taller and with more confidence when you have a Coach.

Im on my way home now and what is really neat is that I've typed all this up on my new IPhone. It has an airplane mode that allows me to type up and save stuff. How cool!!!

To say the least, I had a fantastic time with my sisters. I can't wait to go back in July with my mom to meet my nephew!
