A week's worth....

OK. So it has a really busy week. I've been so tired at night that I haven't had the energy to update. So here goes.

Last Thursday, Mom arrived in town. On Friday and Saturday, we did all kinds of tasks and chores....just stuff.

On Sunday, we went to Dallas. Kathy was hosting a shower for Emily. We had so much fun and recieved so many wonderful things for the baby. Here are some photos below!

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, I had to attend a teacher's workshop called Capturing Kid's Hearts. It was an excellent workshop. The downfall was that it was 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. every day. I was just exhaustsed by the end of it all. Mom kept Katherine during that time. Although Katherine was a very good girl, Mom was pretty tired herself.

Dad returned from his hiking trip on Tuesday. Unfortunately, he had to immediately go to Abilene for the funeral service of his cousin Sharon. Sharon was a very sweet woman and she will be missed. He got to Granbury on Wednesday. We sent them out to dinner for a little peace and quiet. I said goodbye to Mom and Dad on Thursday.

Friday, Katherine and I ran some errands and then just vegg'ed out. We were pretty darn wiped out from the week!

Yesterday, I began painting on the girl's walls. I painted Emily Grace in the nursery and I've began flowers in Katherine's room. It is turning out cute so far.

Afterwards, Katherine and I headed to Fort Worth with our neighbor Crystal and her girls, Caitlyn and Chassidy. We didn't get home til just after 10 but it was worth it. We hit 5 different stores and no small children were harmed in the process!
