Just another day in Granbury....

Yesterday was a Bad Weather Day. Granbury ISD went from "Late Start" to "No school" quickly after the sleet started. So, Katherine and I stayed home all day. Frank didn't leave until 10:30 a.m. because our driveway was a sheet of ice. Plus, watching the news was a variable who's who in automobile carnage. Anyway, we just hung out all day. It was awesome.

Then around 6:00, Katherine started throwing up. That was not awesome. Finally, by 1:00 this morning, she quit. We decided to keep her home today. Just didn't seem right to send her on.

Here are the lessons I have learned....

1. A toddler throwing up will quickly bring you down from your "It's a girl!" high.

2. The more times you change sheets, the more you wash them....which means you are stuck with folding 5 sets of sheets. Yuck!

3. Never, and I mean, NEVER wash a pillow in the washer. Seriously, my washer was going crazy. The pillow was banging the wash drum so violently that the sides were jumping...the washer moved up a foot and over about 2 feet.

4. You can turn off your washer, release the catch and get the pillow out....although you will spend 10 minutes draining water out of it just so you can haul it to the bathtub.

It's a....

GIRL!

Yea for Pink!!!

Frank and I are really excited that we are adding another little girl to the family. Katherine is super, super excited about a baby sister. When I told her, she jumped up and down, gave me a hug and said, "Yea! A baby sister! A baby sister!".

It was very sweet.

I have a good excuse...sort of

My laptop has just completely gone nuts! A virus has taken a hold so my precious laptop is off until Jeff can fix it.

At any rate, what have we been up to?

Frank and I have been working like crazy. No big surprise there.

Katherine is growing like a weed! We have spent the last few weeks going to school and hanging out on the weekends.

Truly, we are not that exciting.

In the preggo department, I am almost 15 weeks. The baby is growing and so am I. I can't even think of regular clothes now. Full maternity wear for me.

Put a brick on her head

When I was growing up, my grandparents would say that I was getting so tall, they would have to put a brick on my head.

That brings me to my point. Katherine got this adorable sweater dress from Kathy. Well, of course, she is a bit tall for it. Anyway, so I added some red tights. Can you belive she is a little over 3?
Too cute, I thought!

Happy New Year

On Wednesday night, Frank and I left Katherine with GaGa.

We then headed to PF Changs (oh so yummy!). Afterwards, we decided to go to Dave & Busters. We played games and won tickets. It was super fun! We didn't get home until 11:45...pretty impressive for a man who worked all and preggo me!

*Side note*
This particular D&B is in the middle of all the "gentlemen's clubs" in Dallas. I felt so wierd driving there. I was just for sure that everyone driving around us thought we were either going to these clubs or easily muggable. At any rate, we did not get accused of being pervys nor were we mugged.

Anyway, we spent the New Year just hanging out! We had blackeyed peas for good luck....twice.

Frank had to go back to work on Friday. Kathy and I got all her decorations down. Katherine and I were going to meet Frank and his buddies for dinner. By 5:00, Katherine was still asleep. We opted out of dinner. This is a good thing, because Frank & Co decided that once they finished dinner at 9:00, they would all go to WinStar......in OKLAHOMA. I said go for it......I am going to bed. :) Frank got home, he didn't win money but he didn't lose alot (his words). Good enough for me.

Now I am hiding from my Christmas tree. It keeps asking to be put away. If I don't looked at it, it doesn't exist. Right?

Well, Happy New Year! Cheers to 2009!

"Spa" Time

Katherine had her nails painted today.
Then she wanted her photo taken with GaGa.

Denial ain't just a river in Egypt

Katherine and I are still at Kathy's house. Katherine is taking a nap and Kathy and I are watching the Tech game.

If I go home, I have to take Christmas Decorations down.

If I stay here, I have fun and I can ignore my Christmas decs.

Like I said........denial.
